A Fight Worth Fighting: Stand With Yvonne Piper
Share
At Fantastic Blades, we know something about warriors.
Our store is filled with pieces inspired by history—swords, armor, helmets, and equipment that represent strength, courage, and the determination to keep fighting.
But today, I want to tell you about a different kind of warrior.
Her name is Yvonne Piper, and she is my sister.
A Woman Who Has Spent Her Life Helping Others
Yvonne has spent years caring for and helping other people. She works in healthcare and has helped people dealing with serious disabilities and complex medical conditions.
At home, she's also a caregiver.
Now Yvonne needs people willing to stand beside her.
In her SupportNow fundraiser, Yvonne explains that she has lived with Chiari Malformation I throughout her life and was recently diagnosed with Occult Tethered Cord Syndrome, along with other underlying medical conditions.
She is preparing to travel to Barcelona, Spain, in spring 2027 to pursue specialized surgical treatment.
Her SupportNow campaign has a $35,000 fundraising goal to help cover expenses associated with treatment, travel, lodging, medications, recovery, caregiver expenses, and time away from work.
❤️ Help Yvonne Continue Her Fight
Donate to or Share Yvonne Piper's Fundraiser
You don't have to make a huge donation to make a difference.
$5 helps. $10 helps. $20 helps.
And if donating isn't possible right now, sharing her story costs nothing and could be just as important.
⚔️ Why a Roman Gladiator Represents This Fight
When I started thinking about Yvonne's journey, one image kept coming back to me:
A gladiator entering the arena.
That's why I chose the Roman Gladiator Helmet from Fantastic Blades to represent this story.
A gladiator helmet is made of steel, but steel isn't what makes somebody a warrior.
It's what that armor represents:
Courage when you're afraid.
Strength when you're exhausted.
Determination when the fight gets difficult.
And refusing to surrender simply because the road ahead is hard.
That's what I see in my sister.
Our customers who enjoy historical swords, armor, and medieval collectibles understand what these objects symbolize. They represent people who stood their ground.
You can explore more of that history in our Fantastic Blades guide:

This Isn't a Marketing Campaign. It's Personal.
I'm not asking for your help today simply as the owner of Fantastic Blades.
I'm asking as Yvonne's brother.
Fantastic Blades is a family business.
Every customer who has walked through our doors, bought something from our website, recommended our store, shared one of our posts, or told a friend about us has helped our family build this company.
Today, I'm asking that community to help someone from my family.
If you can donate, please donate.
If you can't donate, please share Yvonne's fundraiser.

⚔️ Stand With a Fighter
Yvonne has spent a great deal of her life helping other people.
Now it's our opportunity to stand beside her.
Let's show her what happens when a community comes together behind one of its own.

From Alfredo, the Fantastic Blades family, and most importantly Yvonne — thank you.
Warriors don't always carry swords. Sometimes they simply refuse to give up.
